Okay it now seems that a month has gone by since the last post and yesterday I got a wke up call. The local paper wanted a picture of me for an article on the runners for the Hastings Observer. So now as the race day beckons, time is indeed running out.

Every newspaper, at the moment, is coming out with 101 ways to start a new life, 42 ways to beat stress, I even have a web page bookmarked with Small Step - the US Department of Health & Human Services (http://www.smallstep.gov/sm_steps/sm_steps_index.html) gives a list of 119 small steps. the ones I like at present include no. 5 drink water before a meal and no. 11 avoid food portions bigger han your fist. If you know me I have tiny fists and don't they (whoever "they" is) also say that a clenched fist is the size of your heart. Does that add or subtract hope?

Now I realise how unfit I think I am. Wheezing like the train as it pulls up hill in Dumbo, saying to itself that he think he can repeatedly and then he gets to the top of the hill and wheezes out that he thought he could, he thought he could, repeat until fade. Next week I have to find some trainers and some shorts that won't fall down and laugh at me when I assum the running position at the bottom of a hill.
Why didn't the last post work, let's try again

To those who read this,
Tomorrow I start training for the Hastings Half Marathon and as you may know I do not have, as of yet, the best body for running, but all that will change. Ha, ha, ha.
Keep track of me and of my running, oh and the cups of tea refernce. All my cups of tea will be cold by the time I get back from my run.
See you later
